In this role, I create and present lessons in an online format. I teach Geography as I am most qualified here. I've received all 5 star reviews with some students noting successful exam grades as a result of my assistance. This has developed the way I articulate myself, my ability to manage my time in order to commit and my understanding of responsibility. It also shows me to be patient and creative. I flew out to India on my own to work for this exciting start up company in a Writing and Editing role. It has really enabled me to grasp what it is like to channel a brand voice in my writing. Working so closely with the founders meant I had to quickly understand the brand in order to make sure the copy I was producing was true to the message they wanted to project, in both tone and content. Seeing as it is a young, progressive start up, I've had opportunity to really leave my mark on the company with many of my suggestions being taken on. It has also meant I've been able to do a real variety of tasks and write for many different formats. I've created and written for the company's new blog, created the written content for the new womenswear line website, produced the graphics and promotional material for events they run, given my input to how the new jewelry and womenswear lines should be promoted as well as on the products themselves, and managed the social media channels and the events. The internship has been very demanding (especially with the 6 day week here) and challenged me to be creative, self motivated, independent and productive all whilst adapting to a new culture. I'm grateful to have had the opportunity to have met a range of different people in this innovation brewing and entrepreneurial city and work with some incredible local brands. I've also been able to experience a culture far from what I may be used to and have enjoyed seeing as much of India as I've been able to whilst I've been here. Worked as a general counselor with various age groups over the whole summer period. I was responsible for the children's wellbeing 24 hours a day. I was able to express and improve my creativity, creating programmes both carefully planned in advance and in a moments notice. I demonstrated my dedication and hardworking nature in a job that required me to be on call all day and night, maintaining enthusiasm at all times. I did all so far from home which was a challenge but also highly rewarding. Worked as a general counselor with various age groups over the whole summer period. BBYO is an international youth organisation. Locally, the branch I was working with run weekly programme for those aged 11-16 as well as running larger events and participating in activities that connect us to the global community. Elected into this position, I organised various social action projects and coordinated charity projects for the year I held the it. A highlight was when I organised for the members to travel to and participate in a local conservation project. Attendance was high and it was both a rewarding and fun day. Over the year, we exceeded our charity raising target. My responsibilities were ongoing and required dedication in order to coordinate each week's activities.

I worked in the office of New! magazine, assisting the writers and editor with tasks like writing interview questions, transcribing interviews, research and generating feature ideas. This was my first insight into the operations of a magazine, and I learnt by asking many questions and watching how each stage of the process, up to editing operates in order to broaden my knowledge.
