    • Project Coordinator Executive
      • Sep 2017 - Mar 2018

This role involved complete self-management of workload and performance as I worked from home and also drove out to different locations within Sussex conducting Welcome Visits independently. I researched new potential charities for free surplus food donations, ensuring they met certain eligibility criteria, pitching the project to them over the phone and reaching regional targets for store coverage. Once a relationship was successfully established I scheduled the Welcome Visit, which involved skilled diary management (Outlook), effective time management for travel arrangements and accurate data logging (Salesforce CRM database and Excel Google Sheets). I was a brand ambassador for the charity, professionally representing FareShare at all times, giving presentations and providing training. I also ensured compliance to food safety legislation by conducting kitchen audits and giving recommendations for improvements. Most importantly I built trusting relationships with our charities, creating networks across large geographical areas, sharing best practices with colleagues and informing relevant stakeholders of project impacts.

      • Jul 2017 - Aug 2017

This role involved independently planning and delivering English Language lessons for young teenagers (aged 10-16) at a summer school located at Ardingly College. This role required excellent time management skills and organisational ability, as well as innovative communication and material manipulation to ensure students remained focused and engaged throughout a 3.5-4.5 hour lesson block. I was responsible for independently monitoring the attendance and progression of my students, and provided assessments and evaluations of their work accordingly with British Council standards.

    • Yoga Teacher (Voluntary Internship)
      • May 2017 - Jul 2017

I completed my yoga teacher training (Yoga Alliance RYT200) at Samma Karuna from May-June. I studied alignment, anatomy, pranayama (breathing techniques), meditation, core hatha yoga asanas (postures), communication, marketing and teaching skills. After graduating I completed a month long internship at the same retreat centre (June-July). I taught 90 minute Hatha and Vinyasa classes to different groups, with class size going up to 27 people and ability ranging from beginner to advanced. I also helped with the general running of a yoga retreat, for example organising a marketing event as part of International Yoga Day.

    • Community Member and English Teacher (Voluntary)
      • Jan 2017 - Mar 2017

I completed a two month Community Member programme at this yoga and meditation retreat, during which I was fully immersed in the full-time yoga programme. I studied and practised yoga postures (asanas) from Hatha, Vinyasa, Yin and Kundalini traditions, different meditation techniques, and learnt about yogi, Hindu and Buddhist philosophical teachings. Whilst studying here I also provided English lessons to the Khmer staff who worked there. This was an informal lesson environment but I still ensured the lessons were relevant and well-planned using the knowledge gained through my Trinity TESOL training, and time managed the planning and execution of these lessons independently. I also helped to plan and facilitate workshops with a local children's school which involved fun, interactive activities for the children to educate them about hygiene and environmental sustainability.

    • Admissions Advisor
      • Apr 2014 - Oct 2016

This role involved processing applications for foreign students coming to study in the UK; which in turn involved academic and English language assessment, academic referrals, progression advice, verifying passports and qualifications, assessing visa eligibility, confirming places and issuing CAS statements and providing pre-arrival information. The students study Foundations, International Year One, Graduate Diplomas or English Language with INTO before progressing to their degree study with one of INTO's partner universities. This role required meticulous attention to detail and an in-depth working knowledge of INTO’s vast Salesforce database. I have a thorough understanding of education systems and qualifications in the UK and across the world, as well as complex visa application processes, which are constantly changing. I guided students and agents through our admissions process with care and efficiency, ensuring excellent customer service standards whilst also adhering to the hugely varied entry requirements of our partner universities and following visa compliance guidelines. I took on extra responsibilities during my time here such as leading group training meetings and one-to one training, and doing our specialist St. Georges advisor role. I was also selected for specialist committees e.g. admissions training and a Salesforce operations review. I also voluntarily partook in INTO Giving, the charity arm of INTO. I helped organise and promote events, minute take meetings and manage funds raised.

My key role was to provide a call answering service to hundreds of various companies. I learnt a lot from this job and was given important responsibilities as a direct result of my hard work such as writing the weekly blog, managing social media e.g. Facebook and Linkedin, communicating directly with our clients (e.g. handling complaints), processing invoices and managing the office alone in the evenings.
