  While at Fit for Sport I was the Plymouth Clubs Arts and Crafts activity leader. A key part of the role was running activities with a group children aged between 4-12 while teaching them about healthy lifestyles. I spent my summer organising a range of different sports sessions, arts and crafts, science experiments and activities such as meditation to influence a healthy mindset so that they could learn through play while at our sport centre. The experience of working for Fit For Sport has also given me an insight into working with children with additional needs which has made me more understanding of others and how I can cater to their needs both in every day life and a work environment.   At the Plymouth Pavilions Ice Rink there were two different types of shift, the ticketing desk and working on the rink side. Ticketing desk While on the ticketing desk it was my role to welcome in customers to the ice rink and assist them with booking the sessions and services that we provided via our online booking system and Microsoft soft wares. I also answered email queries and took phone calls, always ensuring that I was friendly and approachable at all times to reflect our business values of customers having a good experience every visit. Part of my job was also to ensure that booking information was kept up to date and that the ice rink team were aware of any changes. Rink side These shifts were customer focused ensuring that they were having a safe and enjoyable time. I made sure to maintain good relationships both with new and regular customers. I take pride in how supportive I was to my team, always checking in on their wellbeing and assisting them when needed. I have experience with both critical and non critical first aids and have first responder training. Show less
