      In this role I proactively research and evaluate requested software to be approved or denied for United States Department of Veterans Affairs use. My research includes the software’s version and release history, technological components, licensing information, runtime dependencies, comparable technologies, and supported operating systems. I also perform system scans including but not limited to National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) and Threat and Assessment Portal (TAAP) to detect potential software vulnerabilities. On a daily basis I contact and collaborate with vendor representatives, project stakeholders, and VA contacts via Microsoft Teams calls to discuss specifications and business needs for proposed software. The proposed software can consist of medical equipment, application testing software, development tools, integration software, network infrastructure, cloud services, data security, etc. As I research the software I edit the VA’s Technical Reference Model (TRM) webpage with basic HTML code. I also maintain contact with vendors while providing detailed reports/records of proposed vendor software. Additionally I create PowerPoint presentations on proposed software and presenting the presentations to our clients and VA contacts.       In this role I assisted users with troubleshooting computer needs via web calls on Microsoft Teams. I created, escalated, and executed tickets in Service Now. In addition to working tickets I ran audit and data capturing/progress reports which were submitted to system administrators. I would analyze audit report data within Excel. Another role I performed was creating standard operating procedures and job aids using Microsoft Word. When new system updates were on the verge of rolling out I would smoke test the new Learning Management System (LMS) application updates in pre-production (stage) and live (production) environments. On a daily basis I would test learning courses in LMS, manage and update profiles in the Profile Maintenance system, distribute and manage admin roles in LMS, and assign and register users for various LMS courses.
