I started here as a Saturday help when I was looking for a side job. During this time I learned to communicate in a polite way with customers and help them as best as possible. Tasks of mine were welcoming customers, doing the pre-test, helping customers pick out the right frame according to their wishes and needs, order the glasses with the customer and eventually delivering the glasses when they were ready. Next to that I also helped customers when their glasses needed some adjustment to make them more comfortable or to just correct their shape. Show less

Study association Technisch Appèl is the study association for Mechanical Engineering at the Hanze University of Applied Sciences.In October 2021 I started as treasurer of the association. As the treasurer I made the budget for the whole year and was in control of every bit of revenue and expense. I was also in contact with all the treasurers of our committees to ensure all the specific budgets were being used correctly. Being the treasurer also meant having to collect the membership fees during the year. Next to finance related tasks, I was also vouching to internationalise the association to enhance the participation of our international students. We did so by translating our website to English and by setting up a committee tasked to organise activities specially aimed at including the international community.All in all it was a very nice year, during which I learned a lot about keeping finances and about working together with a team to take the association to the next step. Study association Technisch Appèl is the study association of Mechanical Engineering at the Hanze University of Applied Sciences. During this year I was part of the committee which was responsible for organising company visits for the members of the association. My tasks were to contact multiple technical companies to discuss the possibilities of organising an online or physical company visit.
