  I was one of only two interns to be with Congressman Luke Messer's campaign from the primary election (May) through the general election (November) in 2014. This extended involvement provided me with a comprehensive understanding of a federal campaign while providing me with opportunities to take an increased role in campaign operations. As part of the Republican Policy Chairman's campaign team, we were able to win eighteen of nineteen counties in the 6th Congressional District, the largest Congressional District in terms of counties in Indiana. Hard work and dedication to the Congressman's campaign led to an opportunity to continue my internship beyond the election. My role transitioned from campaign oriented to political operations for nearly a year, allowing me to take an increased role and an opportunity to develop the essential skills beyond political campaigns, during which I also was the Executive Assistant/ Scheduler for the Mayoral candidate in Indiana's largest city, Indianapolis. -Preparation and set up for political rallies, fundraisers, luncheons, and meet-and-greets-Staffed fundraisers and other political events-Transported the Congressman-Event photography-Create and post photos on the Congressman's social media page-Format, coordinate with the Congressman, and send out constituent pictures -Formulated an extensive yard sign plan-Construct call lists for potential yard sign locations using GOP Data Center-Maintained and operated the Congressman's official blog using WordPress-Constructed and sent blast emails using Exact Target-Designed, sent, and tracked blast fundraising emails using WidgetMakr-Coordinate and research county procedures regarding political yard signs-Attend local festivals and walk in parades on behalf of the candidate through the 6th Congressional District-Develop and design a political district schedule throughout the nineteen counties within the 6th District (local parades, festivals, and Lincoln Day Dinners)

  I was the Executive Assistant to the Republican candidate for Mayor in our state's capital and largest city, Indianapolis (population 852,866). I was the primary point of contact for candidate Chuck Brewer, maintaining and handling all aspects of the candidates schedule while also staffing the candidate at meetings with religious, business, and community leaders.
