Joshua was a great technician to have. He was self-motivated and able to work independently with little outside assistance. He showed great analytical and customer service skills when working our accounts. Joshua was also able to assist in many areas other than standard breakfix to include network engineering and system software development.

I perform day-to-day server management for a district data center and site servers that provides technology services for ~2,000 staff and ~15,000 students across 25 physical sites. The server environment is comprised of ~50 physical servers--1 at each of the district's 24 schools and a dedicated cluster at our District Office--and ~150 Hyper-V virtual machines--4 VMs on each site server and a number of centralized servers in the cluster. Using PDQ Deploy, WDS, MDT, WSUS, PowerShell, and a few other third-party tools, I developed and maintain end-to-end OS and application deployment and patching of 800+ Dell PCs with Windows 7/10 across 25 sites for our administrative personnel. I was also a primary project manager for the implementation of the JAMF Casper Suite, which our district uses to manage end-to-end deployment of 17,000 Macs and iOS devices across 25 sites for our teachers and staff. Using Paessler's PRTG monitoring software, I've configured more than 3,000 sensors to monitor the district's network and server infrastructure, providing near realtime visibility into critical metrics such as bandwidth, VM host and guest CPU and memory utilization, uptime monitoring of websites critical to the district's functioning, and many other data sets. I perfomed project management duties for a district-wide Mitel-based VoIP implementation of 1800 instruments and associated management switches, software, and hardware across 25 sites. I developed maintenance documentation and actively maintain this system alongside 2 Electronics Technicians that I trained to perform day-to-day tasks. During my first year in the position, I performed project management duties for a complete Novell to Active Directory migration and server hardware refresh, and subsequently I have managed life-cycle replacement of the environment. • Dec 2009 - Nov 2014

Assisted district staff members with technology problems via a ticketing system and a published Help Desk phone line. Performed troubleshooting and break/fix tasks for Macs and PCs. Imaged and maintained approximately 800 PCs and 1800 staff Mac laptops and classroom Mac desktops. Helped leadership Identify areas of improvement for technology in the district, such as a need to migrate from Novell to Windows in the server environment, which resulted in the district creating a new position (IT Engineer - Server) dedicated to managing district servers in the district datacenter and at each of the district's 25 sites.
