Chris Emery
Josh was brought into the company on a 3-month paid internship during his university summer break, to provide temporary support for myself and the CEO while we searched for an established manager to run some critical aspects of our day-to-day operations. In this role he was responsible for activities ranging from recruitment and HR to market research and legal activities. Josh did such an outstanding job that we decided to put off recruiting a full-time manager, and he is continuing to provide support to us in his own time while at university. Given a problem to solve, Josh is perfectly comfortable and successful working with minimal guidance, using his initiative to deliver vaguely-defined tasks such as ‘find ways to increase the number of C++ software engineers applying to CloudNC’ or ‘liaise with our lawyers to put together an EMI Stock Options Scheme’.
