In the 2015-6 academic year I instructed the school's two-year IB Language A: Literature Course as well as an 11th grade English Class. As part of my personal learning journey, I will continue to explore ways in which students can be encouraged and motivated to read with an emphasis in meta-cognitive awareness. This conforms with the IB mission and school vision to develop critically thinking skills in young adults who are capable of empathy with others whose viewpoints may be very different from their own.
