As New Member Educator, I'm responsible for guiding 12 new members into the Theta Delta Chi fraternity. To do this I construct and implement lesson plans covering the fraternity's history, values, and institutions provided by our grand lodge. I ensure that our prospected new members develop into fine young gentlemen for the betterment of our organization and those individuals' personal growth. In the past, I've held the position of Risk Manager. As Risk Manager, I oversee public relations, event planning, and safety measures. I remind brothers that we represent a brand, and in doing so we must maintain accountability for our actions both inside and outside the fraternity. It was Spring 2022 when I became a part of the refounding group with only 32 members. In just one year we have recruited 27 new brothers while obtaining a new house on the University of Rhode Island's campus. Within this first year, Theta Delta Chi has given me new experiences that have allowed me to grow as a leader. From my time here so far, I've sharpened my skills in communication, organizational planning, risk assessment, and management. Our community outreach opportunities have given me insight into philanthropy, and what it means to help others. These opportunities included participating in a beach clean-up event at Rhode Island's East Matunick beach, as well as raising $1,225 for the Doug Flutie Foundation for Autism. Show less
