After my freshman year of college I took a break from my education to join the United States Marine Corps Reserve. I shipped to recruit training July 6th, 2015, and graduated Military Police Basic School on March 29th, 2016. My military occupational specialty is 5811 Military Police. I spent nine months on active duty where I earned the title of Marine and became a basically trained Military Police Officer. I currently drill one weekend a month in the reserve to maintain what I've learned. Skills that I learned in the Marines that I can transfer to civilian employment include dedication, hard work, leadership, and discipline. I will continue military service in the Marine Corps Reserve until 2022 when my enlistment in completed.

Fix Find was a small upstart amazon retailer that I worked at summer of 2016. We mostly sold inexpensive home goods. My job was to sort out orders and ship them. Because the company was only 6 people when I was there, I helped a lot with setting internal logistics and generally getting the place going.

At Best Buy I was primarily a home theater sales consultant, I also worked in inventory and computers. I liked home theater the best because it required the most sales skills to be successful. I enjoyed talking to customers to understand their situation on why they came in that day and selling them the right solution based what they needed. Home theater products were mostly luxury goods making it fun and easy going when I was helping people. On the contrast when I worked in computers I helped people with products that they needed more often for work or school. I also did a lot of inventory shifts for extra hours.
