I was given the opportunity to design the new office space for Tribosonics, an engineering company in Sheffield. Being given this project had provided me with a much needed break from all the university work, and actually tackling my own project in the 'real world' was a great experience. I had built my passion for architecture doing this small project, gaining knowledge and enjoyment in what it is I would like to do. The project is about to finish in May and the clients are planned to move in by then.

Got experience in Bricklaying, Carpentry, Extensions, Conversations, Detailing in real formI had been struggling to find an architectural practice that would hire a placement student. I therefore thought of working in the building trade whilst looking for a firm to work for. In doing this I was able to understand the amount of pressure and effort labourers do during different projects. I had gain a great amount of knowledge and understanding in working in the trade, and had gained a great vision to the attention to detail in everything that I do.

Developed Communication skills, Gained a better understanding of the industry, Increased my knowledge in detailing and designing. My time at Hunt Architects was a time of reflection into what it was like to work in the industry. A memorable experience working at the firm was working on a garage conversion for a Photographer. In this project I was presented with the opportunity to design my own interpretation, presenting the proposal to my colleagues. I was increasing my knowledge in detailing and in designing during this process and had therefore moved on to other projects.
