The Westminster Summer School is a enrichment course for gifted and talented 16 year olds from disadvantaged backgrounds across London. During the course the students take academic lessons which are designed to extend their knowledge above the usual curriculum. They also attend workshops which aim to develop their ability to communicate effectively, present themselves positively and work well in a team. Previously the course has also included careers sessions run by Burberry, McKinsey & Co. and the Houses of Parliament. University talks have also been given by King's College London, Imperial College and the Universities of Oxford and Cambridge. The course is free to attend thanks to donations from its partners.
