  As a Printer I play a pivotal role in the production of security and non security products on a number of machines and responsibilities as briefly outlined below KBA-Super Simultan Banknote Dry-Offset press - 2nd Operator •Duties: Follow instructions from the lead operator to complete tasks to ensure smooth production in prescribed timeframes, Manual Roller and printing pressure settings to attain a high quality print for banknotes and passports as well as perform make-ready to match the desired Color (proofing). KBA-Nota Screen Banknote printing press - Lead Operator •Duties: Follow instructions as per docket, mount screens to the machine as well as setting squidge pressures. Perform washup of screen and squidge as well as ensuring safe storage of the screen. Perform routine operator maintenance duties. • KBA Rapida106 Offset Printing Press- lead Operator Duties: Lead a 3- person crew operating a high-tech 8-colour printing press plus a coating unit using instant UVdrying inks, Responsible to follow instructions as per provided docket - giving much attention to quantity, quality, paper type and deadlines as well as to perform operator maintenance routines. Cutting out the Varnish Coating blanket for Spot-Coating. Heidelberg Speedmaster 102 6-Colour Offset Print Press- Lead Operator •Duties: Lead a 2-person crew operating a high-techprint press with4 colors after the perfecting unit. Responsible for providing assistants with relevant instructions to ensure smooth production in the designated time frame as well as provide training to apprentice Printers. MANRoland 200 4-Colour Offset Printing Press- Lead Operator •Duties: Follow instructions on the Job docket and perform make-ready procedures to match the customers specifications. Ensure safekeeping and storage of printing plates by providing relevant instructions to the assistant as well as managing the supply of machine consumables inks, washup solvents, plate gum etc. Show less
