As assistant bureau chief for the Bureau of Strategic Development:Led a team of BI analysts to compile documentation and data as evidence for submission to the International Trade Commission in its conduct of hearings on how imported produce from Mexico affects domestic produce growers. These hearings resulted in increased federal monitoring of strawberry and bell pepper imports.Produced early acreage, revenue, and economic impact forecasts for the nascent Florida hemp industry. The estimates were used to argue for increased legislative funding of department programs to support hemp growers.Provided clear definition, tracking, and reporting of key performance indicators for the Division of Marketing and Development in order to satisfy the reporting requirements of the department's Long Range Program Plan.Established a new federally funded program to assist Florida produce growers by reimbursing costs associated with food safety certification.
