  As the primary electronic engineer I developed and improved Datum Electronics’ transducer electronics and interfaces as well as developed the next generation of products.• Programming embedded ARM systems as well as PC software tools using multiple languages (C, C++, C#, XAML, R).• Organised the company codebase with Git source control.• Travelled and visited customers to assist with OEM product development as well as technical input in sales meetings with potential customers. • Worked with a wide range of microcontroller peripherals and interfaces including Sigma-Delta ADCs, RS485, RS232, BLE, Ethernet, WiFi, CANBUS & MODBUS.• PCB design, specifying and selecting components, working with contractors for layout.• Utilizing a range of bench equipment (oscilloscopes, DMMs, signal generators, bus analysers, data loggers) to test, debug and verify electronic designs.• High precision data capture and analysis for ‘Datum Hawk’, a marine engine performance monitoring and predictive maintenance system.• Assisted sales, support and production departments with technical queries.
