Recruitment Consultant
-
Feb 2017 - Oct 2019
I started at 365 Recruitment in early 2017 where I originally came in as a trainee consultant under my branch manager. During this period I was trained in how to use the companies internal systems, screen candidates, interview and qualify, reference candidates with previous employers and turn those calls into sales opportunities. During my 3 month probationary period I had built my own industrial desk with a total gross invoice of £6.000 per week equaling a net of roughly £1.500. During the following year I maintained and contracts and steadily grew my invoice through bringing on new contracts including taking lead vendor and sole supplier with multiple companies thanks to the reputation for a high level of service and building strong relationships with those clients. In this role I have greatly advanced my verbal (phone and face to face) and Written (email) communication skills which has given me the ability to inspire confidence in clients and customers through thorough research into the industries and roles which I have recruited for. I worked for the Pepper mill based in Longton during my studies at college. In this role I was originally working as a kitchen porter for roughly 3 months after which I then progressed to front of house role where I worked both sides until permanently moving out front full time as I was experienced in Bar and floor work as well as management of staff and training of new employees. Within the first year I had begun training as a Key Holder giving me responsibility over opening and locking up, dealing with customer complaints, disciplinaries, tracking and maintaining/ordering stock and cashing up. Following completing this training I was placed onto some line shifts due to necessity where I learned every role and eventually moved into there full time as a line chef and begun training to the second chef role after completion of mandatory training. Once i had completed this I tried to progress once again but soon realized that a career in the hospitality industry had a very narrow progression arc and felt I had taken all I could from the industry.
