  Research Writing Correspondence My work as a patent writer was largely based on research. My primary job is to research an invention and confirm that we are not infringing on someone else's invention. After this initial process, I am required to write the background and description of our invention. The background gives context of our invention and compares it to other inventions related to it. The description was to be a detailed description of what we claimed our invention would accomplish. Lastly, my job requires a lot of correspondence. As a distance worker for NXT-ID Inc., I must stay in constant contact via email and phone with my manager.
