My responsibilities include ordering our steel plate for Steel 21’s processing. I order sheets of A36 and 4140 Steel (96” x 240”) from 3/4” to 12” thick. We then flame-cut parts to our customer’s specifications, apply our patented 21 Micro-milling process, and have machine complete services available. This role has given me the opportunity to learn the (JIT) inventory system, create purchase orders, and develop pricing/ delivery strategies with suppliers.
