Bio
Steve Grunwell
Josh is easily one of the most sociable people I've ever met. Throw him into a crowd of new faces and he'll quickly find common ground upon which to strike up a conversation with nearly anyone. He's neither boastful nor timid; instead, he possesses the perfect combination of charm, experience, and empathy that makes him a tremendous asset for networking, client meetings, or promotional events. He takes great pride in building quality software, often despite low budgets, demanding clients, and/or short timelines. Fortunately, a good user experience is second-nature to Josh, which helps when dealing with the sometimes counter-intuitive functional requirements of customers. He's also quick to learn new tools and platforms and is never afraid to ask questions rather than spinning his wheels. Best of all, Josh is the kind of developer who can hang up his keyboard (developers really need to get some sort of uniform we can "hang up," even symbolically, when we're done) at the end of the day, go have a fun night out on the town with his friends, then come back the next day refreshed and ready to take on new challenges. It's my belief that this balance, work v. play, software v. the world outside of software, that makes Josh such a valuable, creative, and worldly member of our team. I can't recommend Josh enough. It's a pleasure to call him my colleague and friend.
