My job at Gravity Works primarily consists of building websites using the Drupal CMS, collaborating with our FE, BE, and UX teams to discuss best practices, performing regular security updates for our Drupal, Wordpress, and DNN sites, and quarterly accessibility checks for client sites. At Midnet Media, we build our websites using the CMS Drupal, which is an invaluable tool that allows us to create websites that have a vastly customizable user interface. This is incredibly advantageous because once the website is built, we can essentially hand the keys off to the client and let them take the wheel. My primary duty entails coding websites—all while building them to be more manageable on the front-end for clients—and then ultimately, ensuring that they're mobile-friendly. I also assist with client content updates, as well as email and tech. support. Show less

Tasking student employees with in-house advertising projects for the office itself, or other members of campus. We also set up workshops, which were tutoring sessions for students (and occasionally professors), where we would demonstrate how to use certain software programs ranging from the Adobe Suite, iLife, Microsoft Office, and the Canvas LMS. While a Digital Media Assistant at the ARC, my job was to assist students and staff with any questions that they had regarding the Adobe Suite, Microsoft Office, or Blackboard/Canvas CMS either in our office, or in their classroom. We were also in charge of creating and updating tutorials for all of the programs that we supported. During one summer, I'd worked as a saleman for Cutco & Vector Marketing. My days consisted of cold-calling referrals that we'd acquired from previous clients, then setting up meetings with the prospective clients, and then eventually traveling to meet them, and show them a demonstration of the product. While we weren't trying to make contact with new clients, we partook in team-building and leadership exercises, to help us out in the field and on the phone.
