The role entailed approaching schools, colleges and higher education establishments in order to promote the solution to the decision makers for international marketing (usually Deans, heads of school, purchasing and procurement departments or marketing directors) The product I was in charge of was Asian Correspondent, Asian based news and current affairs news site for students. We used Asian based social media channels, Google ad word campaigns, adversising and editorail camapigns to recruit Asian students to international universities . I was promoted to sales manager in June of 2012 where I built a team and successfully delivered quarterly and yearly targets set my CEO. At GDS International I started my career as a sales executive working on publication side of the business (MENA Infrastructure publication) and ensured I put myself in a bubble to focus on achieving sales success and promotion with the company. I progressed to become a sub manager with a year, which is extremely unusual with GDS. I was happy with the new commitment but had my sights on a full managerial role. That full management promotion opportunity was offered 6 months later when I took over my first team of 10 sales staff. My second full year at the company I achieved a total wage of £78,000, which consisted of wages, commission and bonuses for hitting my quarter and annual targets.
