I have undertaked voluntary work experience with the South Australian Sport Institute (SASI). During this time I have contributed to a series of small-scale projects under the supervision of Dr. David Haydon. These projects have involved: - Design and writing a Graphical User Interface using MATLAB to analyse data files of Sprint Cyclists. - Design and build a submersible lighting system for skill acquisition of SASI swimming athletes. - Design and build a spacing indication system to be utilised on the bicycles of Team Pursuit Cyclists to indicate whether the riders are maintaining appropriate spacing during training. - Data extraction and manipulation from various data acquisition software for Air Rifle Performance Analysis In addition to these projects, I have provided my assistance to Dr. Hayden and his personal projects for SASI which are to be deployed at the South Australian Swimming and Leisure Center for SASI swimming athletes.

      • Sep 2017 - Jan 2018

I completed a semester abroad with the University of Southampton taking 3 course-related topics (Aerodynamics, Finite Element Analysis and Computational Fluid Dynamics) and a 4th supplementary module (Prosthetics and Biomedical Implants and Devices). My time abroad was most enjoyable. I utilised the opportunity to test my independence and maturity in living away from home in a foreign environment. I relished my time abroad, instilling a strong sense of independence and confidence in my growth as a student and adult. The experience highlighted the importance of organisation and proactivity. The University was amazing and I am forever grateful for the opportunity.
