  I believe my main role is to lead the team to provide the best experience possible for the patient. I don't believe that visiting the dentist should be a dreaded thought - keeping this concept in mind influences everything I do. A general idea of my responsibilities: - Staffing: Training and development of our team - Marketing: managing our social media accounts, building our website and keeping it updated, liaising with journalists, internal and external marketing - Orders: Overseeing the ordering of regular stock and also new equipment to further advance current treatments - Maintain compliance - Represent the practice when CQC visit for their regular inspections - Patients: Liaise with patients for their treatments. Discuss treatment and finance options. Acquire feedback to maintain high standard and iron out issues. - Look after the clinicians: are their appointment books full, are they meeting patient needs - Inovation: what is working, what is not working - how can we improve etc As the practice manager of Chelsea Dental Clinic, the most enjoyable part of my work is to look at how else we can best serve out patients whilst ensuring the team is the happiest it can be.   As a theatre practitioner at St Mary's Hospital, I work in the trauma centre of Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust. The cases we have are both elective and trauma. I have gained experience in scrubbing for general surgery (both open as well as laparoscopic), breast surgery, plastic surgery, gynaecologic surgery, vascular surgery, some peadiatric and ENT surgery, orthopeadic surgery, neuro-trauma surgery and almost all other trauma that comes through the door. When I am not scrubbed for a case, I act as a circulator ensuring the theatre is ready for surgery, the scrub nurse is set up and all paperwork is completed among other things. Show less
