Josh and I worked together while I was the digital offer operations manager at Walgreens. My role involved working closely with Josh to coordinate the digital offer e-mail assets and ensure these e-mails deployed to customers with no user experience issues. These e-mail did not always smoothly deploy, but Josh always managed the challenges calmly and effectively. His high energy and determination gave the team the much needed morale to solve an issue quickly. He was always the first to help in the problem solving and made the team thought through the solutions from various angles. Additionally, Josh is incredibly knowledgeable in multiple areas, ranging from marketing to digital user experience and e-mail operations. This background has allowed Josh to implement innovative enhancements that also have firm operational and financial basis. While I didn't report directly to Josh, I saw how well he managed his team, ensuring that tasks were aligned to each member's skill sets or providing the appropriate coaching to help struggling members succeed. Overall, Josh's leadership, teamwork, and problem solving skills allowed Walgreens to develop a sophisticated e-mail marketing program that ultimately helped the company's revenue and expand its customer base.
