Joshelyn was my direct supervisor when I served as a Resident Advisor at the University of Vermont. I speak from the heart when I say that I could not have had a better experience with her. Joshelyn puts her heart and soul into her work--sharing her passion, enthusiasm, and thoughtfulness with each person in her professional community--all without ever compromising her professionalism. As a leader, Joshelyn thrived; she served as the Area Coordinator, which meant she led our entire staff of 30+ people while taking on as many as 11 supervisees. I speak with confidence when I say that each one of them (all of whom I knew personally) felt her withstanding commitment, devotion, and support--an impressive feat considering that her schedule was consistently jam-packed. Ultimately, the totality of Joshelyn's responsibilities as Area Coordinator at the University of Vermont would likely be seen as overwhelming--even unmanageable--by anyone. Not Joshelyn. What's more is that she fulfilled these responsibilities with nothing but grace, care, and a level of compassion that any organization--or person--would be lucky to find themselves in the orbit of.
