Programming Māori Potential (PMP) is a digital start up accelerator which focuses on digital-tech solutions for big community problems. This social initiative aims to support rangatahi to expose them to relevant technologies, possible business ventures, problem solving, and 21st century skills that will benefit rangatahi in a digital economy. The kaiarahi will have good facilitation and mentoring skills and a passion for rangatahi Māori, digital technology and start up business and enterprise. Although an interest in either digital technology or enterprise will support the kaupapa, our preferred kaiarahi will have the ability to guide, support, and encourage rangatahi to ‘think outside the box’ in order to get the best out of our program.WHAI is a Personal Development and Academic support programme that delivers to year 9 to year 13 Rangatahi Māori. The aim of the programme is to support the rangatahi on their journey during school and post school. We do this through developing their soft skills and better preparing the rangatahi for the workforce. Show less

    • Lab5 Program Manager
      • Jun 2022 - Nov 2022

Lab5 is a multi-day immersive entrepreneurship programme for students. It opens their eyes to the amazing possibilities in this space and gives them a feel for their own ability to contribute to solving NZ's problems through better business. The programme explores entrepreneurial and technological solutions to our world’s most pressing social, environmental, and cultural challenges. It is a completely immersive experience taking students out of the classroom. Working in teams, every student gets a sense of what it takes to be a successful entrepreneur, how to get started, and what successful strategies and processes are involved in navigating success. Along the way, students learn how to ideate, go through the design thinking process, how to test and fail, work collaboratively within a team, and how to prepare a pitch, network, and sell their ideas. I took an interest to photography halfway through my tenure at Australia whilst in the Outdoor industry. I started taking it seriously on my days off doing product and adventure shoots, which basically evolved into minor business. I carried the experience over to NZ which had lead me to the odd jobs for events customer and product shoots. I Would love to continue this creative process and get more involved in the tech world. Working and catering for students, clients as an outdoor instructor/educator. To facilitate a program and help navigate an individual or group to get to there desired outcome was truly rewarding. Group dynamics differentiated every week, which bolstered my skills of team management and development. I'm always constantly evolving and improving in this field.
