 My role involved coordinating the inaugural Western Homeless Connect in Orange, NSW. This was a free community event helping connect vulnerable people (homeless or at risk of homelessness) with essential community support services from around the Central West.  Planned and implemented the marketing strategy for internal and external stakeholders. This involved designing marketing material on Canva, writing media releases, networking at community services interagency meetings, drafting social media content, and sourcing out advertising opportunities with radio and newspaper outlets. This event was promoted across Bathurst, Orange, Dubbo, Parkes, Wellington, Oberon and Mudgee.  Western Homeless Connect was a success with 40 service providers attending, sending over 160 staff to support more than 70 service users.  I managed my time effectively and was allocated additional projects which has helped broaden my skillset. This includes planning inaugural events for NSW youth week, completed ClubGrant funding applications, NSW Youth Work award nominations, sourced out promotional material for the entire organisation.  I wrote a number of media releases acknowledging positive business development at Veritas House, either acknowledging a recent partnership, donation or promoting a call to action.
