Digital Content Creator

Nov 2020 - Oct 2021
My role as Digital Content Creator at Advanced Dental Artistry involved not just photos and videos but graphic design and the planning and execution of marketing ad campaigns with brand positioning in mind to increase reach and brand awareness. This was done by identifying factors which affected our target audience from undergoing cosmetic or restorative dentistry and producing content to build brand trust, nurture leads and provide value. The role at ADA was a unique one which also saw the planning and conducting video interviews with patients who were not always easy talent subjects. This in fact allowed me to develop my interviewing skills further. It was an interesting industry which also afforded me an avenue by which I could creatively explore my skills with both the filming and editing of videography, moving away from traditional styles of video to edgy, modern forms of content.

My role as journalist and photographer evolved and expanded to include more video projects and the management of social media channels. This allowed me to utilise my skills and experience in video to bring another dimension to news reporting in the Catholic Archdiocese, while still fulfilling the tasks associated with my previous role of journalist and photographer. From late 2018 I was tasked with managing and maintaining all forms of media content and ensuring high levels of quality in the production process. My role gave me the opportunity to lead the video production of interviews with notable guests such as Cardinal Charles Bo, Frederik Mayet of the Oberammergau Passion Play, Dr Alessandro de Franciscis of the Lourdes Medical Bureau and members of the Australian Catholic Bishops Conference.Additionally, I coordinated and oversaw the production of a Social Justice Media Campaign for 23 organisations and entities affiliated with the Catholic Archdiocese of Perth. In September 2018, I was awarded the Ramon Williams Scholarship for the Australasian Religious Press Association, along with several nominations for awards for my work.In January 2019, I was given the opportunity to provide overseas news coverage on the ground at World Youth Day in Panama. That, along with working together with a team of photographers and videographers to cover the local Australian Catholic Youth Festival in December of 2019 were my highlights in the role.
