  Los Angeles Metro Westside Purple Line Extension - Phase 1. Designed and procured ventilation systems for 3 stations and 1 shaft, all in gassy excavations. Designed and procured gas detection systems for 3 stations and 1 shaft during gassy excavation. Designed control system for ventilation and gas detection. Designed automatic alarms systems for gas detection. Integrated automated systems at 3 remote sites to a centralized data acquisition location. Programmed automatic controls for dewatering systems at 2 station excavations and one shaft excavation. Assisted with design and procurement of two 6.5m EPB TBMs.Designed and implemented control systems and programming for 2 vertical conveyors, 2 overland conveyors, 2 tunnel conveyors with boosters, 1 shaft car passer, and 2 cooling towers. Integrated conveyor controls with TBMs. Assisted with the installation of 2 grout plants.Planned 8 launches and 6 receptions of TBMs. Also planned disassembly of TBMs from within the tunnel. Ground encountered included sand, silty sand, clay, and tar under the La Brea Tar Pits. Managed heading engineers on multiple shifts in two headings. Show less

Assisted in organizing several successful compressed air interventions. Planned hole thru into each intermediate shaft. Designed repairs to cutterhead at each shaft.
