I have worked for Warwickshire CCC as an intern working with the youth teams with the aim of improving strength, power, agility and mobility during their off season. It included teaching U13-U16's core fundamental techniques of whole body exercises and movements. I designed my own sessions including small group routines that took place alongside cricket practice as well as planning a 5 month gym programme to aid a specific group of fast bowlers in the gym. Through this position i have learn to deliver accurate sessions to better the athletes at hands to improve their role within the team. Alongside this, i developed my skills in teaching others correct form for core fundamental lifts such as Squats, deadlifts etc and learnt clearer progression routes for these exercises. It really taught me how to analyse the sporting movements within the game of cricket and correctly prescribe exercise to improve namely power and mobility.
