My responsibilities were to answer technical questions, generate 2D and 3D technical drawings of products and create designs of flow controls and surface water drainage systems and schemes by utilising CAD software such as Solidworks. - Communicated closely with clients such as engineers and architects as well as my colleagues in Sales, Logistics, Manufacturing and Research and Development.- Learned directly from other members of the design team about the general aspects and finer points of the construction and design industries, how to improve my software skills in CAD and Microsoft Office, how to read and comprehend architectural and engineering drawings and how to design for manufacture and installation. Designing for manufacture was key in this role.- Developed my interpersonal skills, improved my design skills and learned more about manufacturing processes.
