The main purpose of my role is to manage the daily activities of the Lab Support Team.The team provides key functions to a large and busy laboratory such as;- Technician duties - replenishment of consumables, reagents, reference standards, waste management- Training functions - organising training for members of the analytical services department and identifying key areas for development- Validation and qualification of analytical equipment - ensuring ISO 17025 and GMP compliance throughout the lab in it's validation, calibration and qualification activities. Examples of validated equipment are, HPLC, Karl Fischer's, Dissolution Baths, Analytical Balances, incubators and temperature control units.- Management of planned maintenance, performance verification and calibration tasks.- Organising service contracts for the laboratory- Health and safety management of lab processes and functions.- Gathering key metrics related to the above lab activities.
