Bio
Ryan Hart
Josh Black is the design talent you're looking for. I worked with him on 2 games over 4 years - Nightmare Guardians and Alliance: Heroes of the Spire. In both games, he brought to the table a sharp and disciplined talent for designing great systems and game play. He also has a deep understanding of the challenges of other disciplines, and the ability to seamlessly navigate the design of a product through a complex maze of constraints and business needs. It's hard to underscore enough the impact he has on the games and people he works with. Working with him I was lucky enough to see what it takes to be a great designer, and he sets the bar for all future designers I will work with in the industry.
Brian Schneider
Josh is one of my favorite designers at Rumble. He's an incredible listener and a centerpiece for games learning on his team. He's also incredibly talented at making gameplay (which is becoming rarer and rarer in this new F2P world), and also more than capable of making complex concepts understandable, exploring systems design in new and creative ways, doing the dirty work, and learning from existing designs to help bolster his own design sense. A pleasure to work with.
