This position exists to oversee the execution and responsibilities of the Commissioner for regulation of Home Care Providers, in keeping with the MDH mission to protect, maintain, and improve the health of all Minnesotans. This position will serve a key role in planning for implementation and ongoing evaluation of recently enacted changes to the Home Care Provider Licensing Regulations. This includes providing leadership to a newly formed section within the CM Division and maintaining ongoing working relationships with related sections of the division. They will also be key in cross agency activities in conducting analysis and making policy recommendations relating to rapidly evolving area of health related service delivery. The position manages and supervises the program and staff of Home Care Program including licensing, registration, inspections, enforcement, data management, communications and legislative planning. The position provides technical assistance and consultation services for the regulated industry, other agencies and the general public. This position also works in collaboration with DHS Licensing on the state’s integrated licensing project and related activities to ensure effective cross agency oversight of providers.
