From its first edition in May 2007 I have participated in the organizing committee as the person in charge of all the public relations and logistics. In that year we counted with the participation of more than 155 ambitious young people who want to contribute and give something back to its community, all from 9 different schools of the Jewish community, we also counted with the attendance of recognized speakers like Patricia Mercado, who ran the elections for president in 2006, Marcos Achar, CEO of Comex, one of the largest companies in Mexico, and many others. This year, once again I am part of the organizing committee but now as chief of the main leading committee and web page designer. This time the Congress was in the 8th and 9th of April, with an attendance of 250 participants. Amongst the speakers for this year we have Marcelo Ebrard Casaubon, who is the current Governor of Mexico City, Mario Molina, Nobel prize winner of Chemistry in 1995, Juan Carlos Marroquin, CEO of Nestle Mexico, and many others. In addition we now count with more than 10 different sponsors that make this event possible such as Coca-Cola, Adidas, Nestle and Bimbo. This great Congress was born by the initiative of us young volunteers members of the Mexican Jewish community, who wanted to help the devalue society in which we live by providing to the young people an open space based on the principles of informal education so they can be able to foment the communitarian and humanitarian values that the Mexican Jewish community has lost in the past years. For all these reasons I found myself inspired to be a part of the creation of a so fore-front event. Show less
