After successfully working on the Block Island Wind Farm Project to feeder components from ProvPort to the offshore site, it was realized that for the unique U.S. Offshore Wind market, feedering may have cost-effective benefits. With the announcement of GE's Haliade-X, it was further realized that the existing fleet of (even the largest) U.S. liftboats would NOT suffice for the offshore transport of next-generation of WTG giants and hence the SuperFeeder was conceived. Projects include performing a geotechnical survey of two offshore wind-farms, sending a US-flagged liftboat to Europe to work in the offshore wind O&M market, and working out the logistical aspects of utilizing large liftboats as turbine-component feeders for upcoming installation projects. Worked to utilize the company's fleet of offshore liftboats in jobs outside of their native oil & gas design. Specifically, focused on rare construction projects like sub-sea buoy maintenance, drill-rig thruster swaps, drillship flare-boom installs, scientific coring, and various services related to the offshore wind industry. Also as CTO, played a key role in the design & deployment of a robust multi-sited corporate network for offshore vessel operations including, digital-dashboard using database-driven custom webpages, competitor-activity reports, VSat-communications, and site-to-site replication for hurricane-preparedness & business continuity.
