EFD is a small kindergarten and school with pedagogical methods inspired by Freinet or Montessori. I taught kids from 6 to 15 in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics), using technology a lot. The start-up was born after a university project, and we developed a fitness tracker based on breathing. I participated in the development of the business model, wrote the business plan, and looked for funding by networking, applying to programs and regularly pitching at events. My involvement in prototyping consisted in designing the app’s mockups with Illustrator, as well as 3D printing boxes for the tracker. I also developed the website using Wordpress, and created marketing materials for SoMe. I conducted market research and organised testing sessions with our partners. I was responsible for getting new testers on board and engaging the community, getting their contact and following up. We had 5 to 10 interns with us. I was in charge of the recruitment process, writing job ads and organising interviews, and on a daily basis I made sure we were working in good spirits and that everyone thrived. I was responsible of the UX and UI, website, visuals, data analysis, consumer research, partnerships and HR. I managed a team of interns in design and data analysis.
