Joseph led the Global Team for the Sustainability, Climate, and Equity (SC&E) strategic growth area. He is an excellent leader with an inspiring strategic outlook. His approach to multidisciplinary global team makes things happen. His dedication and commitment to the objectives, allows him to quickly generate team commitment. Joseph is also open to listening to new ideas and making them happen. His meticulous work and dedication allows him to achieve results quickly. On the other hand, the ease with which he can lead global teams is impressive. I highly recommend Joseph for global and complex projects.

It is rare in our "new normal world" that you find a leader who possesses the skills to drive modern large scale change using the latest technology; yet has the innate ability to connect with individuals as if he was sitting across from them at a campfire. Joseph possesses these skills and has demonstrated this repeatedly in his time as a Cerner Team Lead/Manager. To expound on this, I would like to highlight three areas in which I have personally observed Joseph's expert application of initiating positive change, facilitation, and leadership. To begin, within 6 months of being hired Joseph was assigned to arguably the most unique and certainly one of the most complex sites within the VA's OEHRM project, Alaska. Joseph was the first and for awhile the only OCC (Organizational Change Consultant) assigned to Alaska. Despite this daunting assignment, Joseph created a stakeholder engagement plan, coordinated and lead change management activities for executive as well as department leadership, and served as liaison between client leadership and Cerner leadership. Eventually more OCC's who were recently hired began to be assigned to Alaska. Joseph not only provided critical support by helping new OCC's make introductions with clients. He also served as a subject matter expert and teacher to his peers; not only in building their client knowledge but in change management methodology and best practices. So valued was Joseph's leadership that he was overwhelming nominated by his peers to become Team Lead. A second example of Joseph's work and commitment to others came during his time as Manager. Whether it was spending time outside of traditional working hours to provide individual instruction to members of his team on best practices. Ensuring that all direct reports not only understood Cerner culture but felt at home and secure in that culture. Or advocating for team members with senior leadership even when this meant taking the less than popular stand, it can be said without question that Joseph is a servant leader. His team comes first before himself, always. Third but certainly not least has been Joseph's management and facilitation of the future of change management project. This project is designed to help establish what base, senior, and lead change managers will look like in the future. With such a large deliverable and company wide implications at stake, it is not a coincidence that senior leadership chose Joseph to serve as project manager. Joseph's leadership in this project has been clear as he has establish clear and reachable goals, created multiple sub-groups to identify and accomplish specified benchmarks and has facilitated robust discussions. The group's work has already lead to profound changes that will have immediate impacts on the consulting division as a whole. Joseph is a leader who imparts, inspires, and enacts change on an individual and organizational-wide level. He would be an invaluable asset to any organization.

The magnitude of impact a leader can provide lies within the experience they hold. Joseph's experience professionally and personally makes his impact significant! I had the honor of reporting to Joseph during his time at Cerner. His professionalism and true dedication to the success of his reports were evident right from the beginning. When navigating the seas of business and life he is a skilled and worthy captain. Be sure to ask him about his journey sailing across the Atlantic!
