Joe was one of 6 experienced 2nd-year MBAs that I hired to help manage the largest program of the year for Fisher Professional Services. Joe and a partner were responsible for overseeing 6 different teams competing on a 10-week case competition, and assuring that each team successfully completed the project while producing acceptable results. This proved to be a very onerous task - it required our Coordinators to spend hours with each team weekly, coordinate communications and data requests for our client, coach teams on interpersonal conflicts, and provide general project management guidance. Despite the difficult challenge, I was thrilled with the results - each team under his supervision delivered very good results, and credited his leadership with helping them to get there. This showed phenomenal leadership on Joe's part!
