Startup environment, developed FSO and E-Band Radio products. Commercial Products: o Worked on the definition and implementation of a new 10GbE to 40GbE hybrid of Free Space Optics (FSO) combined with E-Band Radio. The system contains layer 2/3 switching, Error Correction sub-system (FEC) and steering technology. o Hardware/System Architect of the IntelliMax product, a 2Gbps Ethernet hybrid FSO/Eband-Radio that supports tracking and stabilization to provide reliable communications up to 10Km between towers (see three patents below). The product was deployed with two versions: ULL (Ultra Low Latency) used for financial applications, and, MB2000 that is used for mobile back-haul application. The latter version has a robust error correction and L2/L3 switching. Developed many of the boards, concepts, and followed up with system bring-up and testing. o Developed data-path to support hitless switching between wavelength diversified channels with FPGA implementation of error correction and framing algorithms, with embedded pilot to support pointing, acquisition and tracking. o Wrote all the software to control the E-Band Radio including AGC, Locking, and Messaging. Defense Products (FSO): o Implemented prototype of a 10Gbps SAR (Synthetic Aperture Radar) air-to-ground FSO transmission sub-system that worked flawlessly in a field trial. o Implemented prototype of an Air-to-Ground data channel for HD video transmission using FSO technology that was proven in a successful field trial.
