I first met Joseph at Verdict when he joined the company as an analyst. Although I did not work with him directly I was impressed by his general aptitude for research and his analytical skills. I was delighted when, some time later, Joseph agreed to join the team at Conlumino where he is currently a highly valued member. - I joined Conlumino five months after it was founded. Conlumino is a retail research agency and consulting firm, focusing on all aspects of retailing and consumer behaviour, delivered through bespoke reports, projects and presentations. In 2012 Conlumino worked with almost 100 different business, including many of the UK's biggest retailers, property companies and professional services firms. The brand also appeared regularly in the media, where Conlumino's consultants are well-known commentators on retail issues;- Initially, I was heavily involved in the creation, and production of Conlumino’s syndicated offer which includes topline reports coverings sectors such as food & grocery, electicals and health & beauty; niche, deep-dive reports on home-related retail categories; and strategic reports coverings issues such as multichannel retailing, consumer shopping behaviour and retail trend forecasts. The production of these reports encompassed consumer, market and retailer analysis, data modelling (including market sizing and forecasting) and survey design;- Oversaw and edited Conlumino’s monthly newsletter “Retail Illuminated”;- Regular imparted Conlumino’s view to the media, including BBC, The Guardian, The Times, The Telegraph, Retail Week, Retail Gazette, Radio 4 and Radio 5 Live.
