  Having thoroughly enjoyed working there previously, after university I returned to work at the Fudge Kitchen as the hours were flexible enough to allow me to care for a family member as needed. Promoted to ‘fudgesmith’ in 2017 (as a then proficient artisanal fudge maker) and then to ‘fudgemeister’ (proficient in all areas of running the shop) in 2018 I was promoted to assistant manager, duties including anything and everything required to keep the shop running smoothly.   For the majority of my time working for Travelex I was the only full-time, and for a while only, member of staff running the Travel Money bureau in a local supermarket. My duties included opening and closing, making and taking deliveries, daily stock-checks and liaising with both the area and the supermarket managers. Other duties included tannoy announcements and leafleting.   My main duties at the Fudge Kitchen were sales and customer service. As a key holder I was required to open and close the shop, cash up and deposit money at the bank. Other main duties involved restocking, keeping the counters clean throughout the day as well as a thorough clean at the end of the day. Though normally working closely within a small team, I was at times required to run the shop by myself. During December I was also responsible for running a stall at the Christmas market.
