I had the pleasure of working with Joseph when we were part of a Great Operational team in the Eastern Operations Centre, a dynamic Operational Business unit of Maersk Line where key functions include Capacity Managment, Vessel Scheduling and Fuel Optimization, Central Stowage Planning and driving terminal efficiency. Joe was my teamleader for the Europe and Middle East teams. He was very involved with his peers as well as his team on day to day Operational matters as well as design of the Future network. His cost conscious efforts in bunker optimization and maintaining a high level of Schedule reliability were quite remarkable. Some of his suggestions to improve day to day operations were also adapted by the new Operational setup in ML. Joe has also a impressive record of training and mentoring subordinates and it can be said that his team has benefitted from his vast Operational experience. Together with another colleague, he also won the award of the Team player of the year in 2008! I wish Joe every success in the future!

Joe and I worked for over 2 years at Maersk Line's Asia Line Management/ Eastern Operations Group based out of Singapore. At the time Maersk's regional setup changed quite drastically and I was fortunate to have Joe as part of the vessel operation group while I worked with the equipment function. Joe's on the ground knowledge of operations in the America's was a huge help to me. His tenacity and drive to get the task at hand done and done correctly was hugely impressive and very infectious. Joe has a great work ethic and drive which is second to none. Joe would be a massive asset to any organisation/ role and I look forward to the day our career paths cross again.
