As the Outdoor Education Youth Worker, I was the Project Manager for the delivery of the ‘Make Royston Greener’ programme. This programme was put into place to build relationships with the Youths of Royston to develop cycling/walking activities within the local area and the greater outdoors. This was done during drop-in sessions and as part of an outreach programme. Wherever possible I would seek to help young people gain accreditation for the activities I was delivering. I actively promoted the local cycling and walking infrastructure to the groups that I was engaging with and the wider community. This was done through social media updates and by producing leaflets. Which were left in local community hubs and shops. Gathered data throughout the year long project, to monitor the impact of the project and submit quarterly reports to funders on the progress of the project. Developing partnerships with local organisations and schools, to help build up strong positive community links. Maintaining the risk assessment folder for all outdoor activities. Ensuring that a rigorous check of all H&S standards was maintained. Upkeep of the fleet bicycles and ancillaries, including additional equipment and tools.
