During the pandemic of 2020 I was finding it hard to get work in my career as a Video Editor so I turned to a company that was trying to kick start their Customer Service department and needed agents. Having an interest in Crypto Currency I was delighted to learn about this platform to then aid Users in their experience. After working there for a while I had proved my skill in the team and knowledge of the company so I was asked to join the QA team where we would manage our own groups of the CS Agents. We would focus on their work done, productivity and platform knowledge. These would be enforced during a monthly meeting and shadow session with an agent and also through internal messaging. However, we, the QA Team, would also be in charge of creating documents and materials for Agent reference and would also create teaching materials for new agents as the responsibility for the training would be up to us. I begun working on the Goldman Sachs engineering job as I had a bit of experience working with network servers and switches and what was initially meant to be a short job turned into almost a year long mammoth of a task. We were a small team of 5 and we were outfitting, connecting and running all the switches and servers in the new building which is now recorded to be London's biggest footprint. I worked for Darkside for 3 and a half years. I begun as a studio runner and then moved into production. Whilst working within production an opportunity opened to become junior video editor and cameraman assistant. I would work late and come in on the weekends to train on the software and familiarise myself with the equipment. I learnt fast and quickly the position for lead video editor became open and I was given the role. I would also still go on the camera shoots not as an assistant though… Show more I worked for Darkside for 3 and a half years. I begun as a studio runner and then moved into production. I would also still go on the camera shoots not as an assistant though but as an actual camera man and also complete shoots in our green screen studio. As we also had a recording studio I would also be in charge of setting up the studio and recording the client. So in my time at Darkside I was given the opportunity to learn how to operate most ways of AV technology competently and to the satisfaction of the clients.
