Chick-fil-A is currently my longest held job as well as my first. Many of my responsibilities include taking and filling orders, interacting with guest, providing an enjoy guest experience, etc. Being one of the longer tenured employees, as of last summer I made the jump from working up front to working in the kitchen. Along with the change of "working environment" I also gained a promotion to shift leader. As shift leader it is my responsibility to ensure shifts run smoothly, help cover multiple positions, count draws, and most of all it allow me to lead by example. Show less

During my time with Harbor Enginerring Inc, I experienced many different projects at all stages of the design process. At RGS Associates, I had the opportunity to experience many kinds of designs, in many different stages of the design process. Throughout the summer I helped with preparing sheet sets, CAD work, and renderings. Towards the end of the summer, I was given the chance to complete own, small project, by completing a planting plan for a school in the city of Lancaster. I also got to experience going to job and community board meetings. These meetings gave me great insight into the process that many designs go through for approval. Show less

As an intern with the Penn State Center, I worked on a number of projects located around Pittsburgh. Of the projects, two of them had major significance. The first was creating a small parklet design in the town of Sharpsburg that also served the function of being a war memorial. The second project was located in Wilkinsburg. For this project, I was tasked with creating conceptual designs for an existing park in the hopes to help transform it into an new and enjoyable space. Outside of these two major assignments, I also was tasked with completing a number of planting plans and revising other design plans. Show less

Working with LandStudies provided me the great opportunity to experience the install and maintain landscape designs. Most of my responsibilities were focused on the maintenance of already installed landscapes, and tended to include weeding, both through machinery and hand weeding, spreading of mulch, and application of herbicides. On the installation side of the job, I spent time literally putting plants in the ground. My time with LandStudies really is credited with providing me with far more information of native and invasive species of plants, and the care needed to be given to landscapes. Show less
