Production experience at an established London based station building on my work at Platform B Radio. This includes operating a sound desk, broadcasting equipment and software (Butt Broadcasting), using Myriad and dealing with engineering or production based technical problems, as well as recording, editing, transferring and uploading shows to Mixcloud. My experience at Soho Radio has taught me to react quickly, in a live community radio environment. I became the manager of a team of A&R executives recruiting new artists to SyncVault. I identify artists or areas of the industry to approach with the product, to help curate a catalogue of music that appeals to YouTubers. I also deal with content ID claims, managing assets and artist’s accounts and quality check submissions. I liaise extensively with managers and labels, as well as independent artists, as well as advising the A&R executives within my team at points of escalation. Over almost 18 months, I have compiled a catalogue of over 400 tracks for content creators to use in their videos, whilst influencing the direction of the business model and managing a team of colleagues. I have also recently helped to start a distribution branch of the company which we have been releasing music on since the beginning of the year, having recently struck up a deal with a label to become the sole distributor of their catalogue. I joined SyncVault as a start up 3 months before the soft launch. I jointly developed the back end of a CRM system to provide artists with a seamless sign up process. This includes collecting and organising artists assets, files and photos, managing their content ID and preparing and sending off contracts. I was also the first point of contact for these artists, labels and managers, taking calls, perfecting the messaging and resolving pre-campaign queries.

Over the past four years I have gained the responsibility of organising a team of colleagues as well as liaising with clientele and safely transporting goods. This has given me experience in problem solving whilst being put under the pressures of logistics and customer service. At Soho Runners I have worked at several post production studios around Soho, including Technicolor, Gold Crest Films, Wash, Unit Media and Saatchi & Saatchi. Often I will do more menial work like taking, delivering and collecting food and drinks orders. However the important experience I have gained has been in client liaison, money handling and administrative office work. • Sound Design Workshop
      • Oct 2019 - Dec 2019

I assisted Peter Adjaye at the Royal Academy of Arts with a sound design workshop in collaboration with the Anthony Gormley exhibition. We curated a regular workshop in which teenagers and young adults, from colleges and schools around London, created musical responses to the work they saw at the exhibition. The workshop was part of an initiative by the RA to encourage young people’s participation in the arts. I ran workshops alone and in a team setting up the equipment, instructing participants and managing up to 20 attendees at a time. Show less

My weekly show at Platform B was loosely based around new generation jazz music and music influenced by jazz. As the show gained momentum and popularity, I was given more frequent slots with broader music selections. In May 2019 I interviewed Graham Luckhurst of Mr Bongo in anticipation of the label’s 30th anniversary event at Brighton Dome and covered the event on all Platform B social media outlets. I also scouted and selected new DJ’s for the radio station. My weekly show at Platform B was loosely based around new generation jazz music and music influenced by jazz. I worked at Gilles Peterson’s We Out Here festival, having volunteered at a tri-annual Gilles Peterson event at Dingwalls in Camden, in artist liaison and as a runner. At the festival I supported the press team, managed the We Out Here Instagram, creating and posting content, and liaised with artists and clientele. I was also a runner for the promotions team. Data entry to enhance Soundvault’s search engine, which consisted of listening to George Clinton’s entire back catalogue and describing the songs with buzzwords or tags, entering them into a spread sheet. I worked part time for Nathan Graves on this project before starting university. This gave me office experience as well as an insight and some experience of how small businesses work within the music industry. I worked for the Olive Bar market stalls, at weekends and during school holidays. We ran stalls all across London including Covent Garden Market and Portobello Road as well as at music festivals such as Secret Garden Party and Wilderness. Working extensive hours with early morning starts, I set up and ran stalls, sometimes on my own, helped with cooking and serving food, as well as liaising with customers.
