Smart, professional, and fun! Three words that best describe Joseph. International champion in accounting at DECA competition. When Joseph is not in class , working, or doing something for the Business Club, he can be found tutoring others in math and accounting. Joseph gets the work done, makes time to help others, and knows how to make it fun! It’s truly a pleasure to recommend him!

I had the great pleasure of having Joseph in my Business Strategy course at Ensign College. Over the duration of the semester, Joseph led several team projects and consulted directly with and formally presented to real-world business clients, recommending actionable solutions addressing major business challenges. Joseph was one of my most accomplished students and he demonstrated excellent acumen in the areas of strategic thinking, internal and external analysis making use of strategic frameworks such as competitive analysis, SWOT, VRIO and Porter’s 5 Forces and meaningfully applied new skills and concepts taught. He also excelled at real-world business simulations where he acted as CEO of a smartphone manufacturer, competing against other firms to maximize revenue and net profits. Joseph also created a personal life plan, which will serve as a solid foundation and guidepost as he continues his progress towards completion of his degree and pursues his career plans. Joseph is highly-motivated and has achieved academic excellence across all business-related courses and is a sought-after business management and strategy expert and with possession of core soft business skills such as collaboration, communication, problem-solving, and mentoring, adds tremendous value to any firm or organization.

I work for two professors at Ensign College. I help them grade and prepare for class. Another responsibility is I'm an officer in the Business Club. I keep the members updated with what's going on in the club and future events. I also help plan events and participate in events like DECA competitions.

I answered phones and helped people with technical problems over the phone. I also answered emails from faculty and students that were having technical issues. Another part of my job was helping people on campus. I went into classrooms to find issues teachers were having with projectors, computers, and podiums and fix them.

I served a Mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Charlotte North Carolina. I served for to years. I lived in several different types of places and served several different types of people. I spent sometime in inner city, Native American Reservation, rural country side, and suburbs. I spent everyday in the community helping people. I did things like rebuild parts of home on the Native American Reservation. I also spent time with people and introduced them to others in the community that could help them. or we found ways we could help. Another part of the mission was teaching people about Jesus Christ. We taught people about Christ, how they can be closer to him, and how they could feel more joy in their life. Part of my experience was leadership. I spent most of mission as a leader of large groups of missionaries. I helped them serve others and helped them when times got hard. COVID happened while I was on my mission. That was extremely difficult for the missionaries and the people we helped. We had be inside almost all day and couldn't see people because of the pandemic. Being inside and not being able to do what they came do to was tough for the missionaries. We had to do a lot of listening doing small things to help lift their spirits. I learned a lot from the people I lead. Show less
