Battalion Logistics Officer (Department Manager)

I oversaw a battalion supply inventory worth over $400 million and directly managed five soldiers. I planned and coordinated with senior leaders for the provision of transportation, maintenance, and life support for a 500-person deployment to the Philippines, Malaysia, and Thailand. I developed a new system for spending and tracking expenses within the organization which resulted in control of the $4.8 million annual maintenance and supply budget moving from a higher echelon to my level. I was also responsible for the development of five executive officers and 21 other junior officers on logistics, creating curriculum for classes on accountability, upkeep, transportation, and management which were taught over two weeks on Microsoft Teams.

Operations Officer (Assistant Director of Operations)

I evaluated and responded to issues from five business units in an organization containing 700 personnel. I coordinated the planning, preparation, inspection, and deployment of 84 vehicles and 66 containers by rail to the National Training Center for a 30-day exercise. I was selected to oversee rail download and upload operations at the National Training Center for the brigade, tracking the status and location of 739 vehicles and 512 containers. I developed a new battalion motor pool layout that increased the organizational efficiency and access for the battalion’s 143 vehicles and 134 containers. The new layout was selected for implementation by six other battalions.

Platoon Leader (Program Manager)

I was directly responsible for the training, development, and welfare of 35 soldiers. I supervised the daily performance of squad leaders while issuing multiple projects and priorities. I conducted quality assurance checks and ensured all tasks were completed to standard. I oversaw the accountability and maintenance of five vehicles. Additionally, I developed new maintenance procedures that were implemented in other platoons and increased the operational readiness of 20 total vehicles. I was evaluated as one of the top three lieutenants within the battalion out of 27 peers by the battalion commander.

Battalion Plans Officer

I was responsible for planning, resourcing, and tracking operations for a mechanized infantry battalion comprised of over 700 personnel and 140 vehicles. I supervised training exercises, coordinating between senior leaders both within and outside of my organization to ensure training objectives were fulfilled. I provided weekly operational briefings to the battalion commander and director of operations outlining projects, priorities, and plans for future operations.

Student (Infantry Basic Officer Leader's Course)

I studied small unit tactics and developed the skills necessary to lead soldiers in combat. I also built proficiency in problem analysis and the Army's comprehensive planning models. I was selected to sponsor an international student from the Egyptian Army and ensured that he understood all course curriculum while facilitating cultural exchange.
